What is Graft?

Graft is a cross-border AgTech Challenge that aims to accelerate the adoption of agricultural technologies across our region through tailored market entry programs focusing on the localisation of suitable technologies and business models that drive strong commercial outcomes and impact.

the 2019 challenge

The Graft Aus-India AgTech Challenge is the first 2 month cross-border AgTech challenge of its kind. Backed by industry leaders, government and a strong lineup of corporate and knowledge partners, #graft2019 will pick out 6 'best-in-class’ startups from Australia and 6 from India, to inject new ideas and proven technologies into an innovation-ripe industry.

The inaugural Graft Challenge is eyeing the best and brightest talent to tackle critical questions facing the future food system. Honing in on scale-ups with proven game changing technologies for improved climate resilience in rain-fed Agriculture. The #graft2019 in-country market-access tour will provide a structured pathway for you to validate, test and scale your solution.

The shortlisted start-ups will receive virtual coaching and access to information and strategies to approach Indian and Australian agricultural industry and markets. This will be followed by a 10-day field experience in both markets.
